A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing his parents' car into a garden fence in Chorley.
The youth, who is from Leyland, is thought to have taken his parents blue MG ZR car without permission before crashing it at the corner of Portsmouth Drive and Chatham Place.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Tuesday, July 22.

A neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: "The car came out of the blue and just came crashing through the garden fence.

"The police turned up 10 minutes later and arrested the young lad who was behind the wheel."

A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary said: "A 17-year-old boy from Leyland was arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking of a vehicle and being unfit through drink or drugs."
