Honour for two Warriors
Two members of Leyland Warriors team committee were recognised for bringing the sport into the community.
At the Lancashire Rugby League Volunteer Awards 2008 'New Volunteer of the Year' went to Phil Roberts for his work as U10 team coach and club press officer.
The 'Outstanding Achievement Award' went to Peter Kearns who combines his role as Warriors secretary and U8 coach.
It was Peter's second award in recent weeks after collecting a trophy from the North West Counties 16-18 Association.
The awards were presented at the National League Two match between Blackpool Panthers and Oldham by Panthers' chairman John Chadwick.
