Police hunting a vicious street robber in Leyland have renewed their appeal for help after receiving some fresh information.
On the morning of February 25 a schoolboy was walking to school along Canberra Road near to the Spider Park area when he was attacked.

He had been on his phone and when he ended the call he heard footsteps behind him and turned round.

He was asked for his phone by another male and when he refused to hand it over the male hit him on the forehead snatched the phone and made off from the scene.

The offender was described as black, clean shaven and aged between 16 and 19.

He was dressed in black tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and a black hooded top with the word SCHOTT in grey letters.
