A Leyland woman has spoken of her shock after being involved in a horror smash.
Donna Lowe, 25, was the driver of a red Volkswagen Golf which collided with another car on Preston's Ringway on Thursday afternoon.

The North West Air Ambulance had to make a dramatic landing in the car park at nearby B&M Bargains while rescue teams had to cut the roof off the Volkswagen to free front seat passenger Andrew Ryan.

He was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where he was described as having whiplash injuries.

Donna and Andrew's sister Laura, 20, who was in the back of the vehicle, were also taken to hospital.

Donna said: "I was dazed but I managed to get out of the car and Andrew's sister got out as well.

"I was taken to hospital before they got him out, but I saw them cutting into the roof.

"He said he couldn't feel his legs at first but he was okay."

All three were discharged from hospital on Thursday night.

The collision and road closures sparked traffic chaos in central Preston.
