A WOMAN had to be cut from her car after crashing into a wall in Bamber Bridge this morning (Wednesday).
The 21-year-old female was released from her black Vauxhall Corsa SXI and taken to Royal Preston Hospital with minor injuries.

The incident happened around 10.40am and it is believed she lost control of the car on a bend on Brownedge Lane as no other vehicles were involved.

Bamber Bridge fire crews, the ambulance service and police attended and the roof of the Corsa was taken off.

The road was closed for an hour while the scene was cleared and re-opened just before midday.

A spokesman for Bamber Bridge Fire Service said: "We had to remove the roof as a matter of course because these types of incidents can result in spinal injuries.

"With the good weather we have had recently people are driving around excitedly, but when the roads are greasy people don't always adapt straight away."
