A father-of-two who killed a Lostock Hall engineer with a single punch has been jailed for almost three years.
John Wilson, 29, has been locked up for two years and eight months after admitting the manslaughter of Aaron Emery.

Mr Emery, 23, suffered fatal brain injuries when he was floored outside Browns bar in Glover's Court, Preston on April 19 this year.

He died four days later - on the eve of his 24th birthday.

City Recorder Judge Anthony Russell QC told Wilson he had "lost his temper and lashed out" during a minor argument over money which Mr Emery may have owed him.

CCTV played into court showed Wilson delivering the single punch and Mr Emery crashing backwards onto the pavement.

Wilson, formally of Riverside, Bamber Bridge, gave himself up to police when he heard about his victim's injuries.

Mr Emery, of Boegrave Avenue, Lostock Hall, worked as a self-employed engineer.
